Preventing Accidents During Halloween | College Park Accident Attorney

Halloween is such a fun time of year, but it can also be dangerous. Kids all dressed up, running around at night and hyper off of sugar can sometimes be a recipe for injury. Here are a few tips to help prevent an accident during Halloween:

1. Keep your home well lit all night. Make sure that trick or treaters can easily see their way to your door.  Visibility greatly reduces the risk of injury.

2. Make sure you walk way is clear. Remove any décor, furniture, plants, etc. that may impede a person’s path. The last thing you want is for someone to trip and injure themselves on your property.

3. Dress your kids in bright colors and put a reflector somewhere on their costume. You want to make sure a car can see them from a great distance away.

Everyone at the Foster Firm wishes you a HAPPY HALLOWEEN! Enjoy and be safe.  If someone you love is injured this Halloween, contact us to discuss your injury and protect your rights.

3 Things Every Plaintiff Should Know | Personal Injury Attorney Atlanta

When you have been injured or suffered damages due to another’s negligence you deserve compensation.  Sometimes individuals with legitimate claims lessen their ability to recover damages because they make mistakes simply because they didn't know the law.  Here are 3 tips every potential plaintiff should keep in mind to help ensure proper damage recovery…

1. Know the Statutes of Limitation for Your Claim: Legally you are given a specific time frame in which you can file a legal cause of action.  If you wait beyond the statute of limitation for your particular legal claim then your right to sue will no longer exist.

2. Proper and Timely Discovery: Witnesses, evidence, documents and fact gathering need to begin immediately.  You need a comprehensive discovery plan to ensure important evidence is gathered, motions are filed on time and all relevant facts are uncovered.

3. Plead The Appropriate Causes Of Action: Depending on your specific situation there may be numerous causes of action that apply.  Many plaintiffs fail to plead all the available causes of action to them or even plead the wrong cause of action...

Protect your rights as a plaintiff and get the settlement you deserve.  Recovering from an injury or significant loss is difficult and recovering the monies legally due to you is an important part of the healing process. Feel free to contact us if you have additional questions on protecting your rights as a plaintiff.
